Steve and Lilla have two kids of their own and three kids from his previous marriage.

Following Steve’s departure from the Brooklyn Nets in November 2022 after a challenging start to the season, he has not been involved in many basketball-related ventures.

During his tenure with the Nets, Nash led the team to a 94-67 record but faced challenges in managing team dynamics and maintaining a cohesive culture.

Since then, Nash has shifted his focus to other interests outside of basketball.

Notably, he has been involved in the world of soccer, holding minority ownership stakes in clubs such as RCD Mallorca in Spain and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer.

Additionally, Nash co-founded Block Training, a fitness app offering live and on-demand training sessions.

Steve Nash, the former NBA point guard for the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and the Los Angeles Lakers, and former head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, has experienced a dynamic personal life alongside his celebrated basketball career.

His journey includes two marriages, the first to filmmaker Alejandra Amarilla from 2005 to 2011 and the current to former professional volleyball player Lilla Frederick.

Married in 2016, Steve and Lilla have two children— Ruby and Luca Nash.

He has three children from his previous marriage with Alejandra— twin girls, Lola and Bella Nash, and Matteo Joel Nash.

Lilla maintains a healthy relationship with all of them and often shares glimpses of her familial life with five children.

Steve began dating Lilla in 2015 after a divorce from his first wife.

In 2016, during a romantic trip to Spain, Steve proposed to Lilla in Palma De Mallorca.

They tied the knot in September 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Manhattan Beach, California.

They had their first child, a son named Luca Sun Nash, on July 20, 2017.

Lilla documented both her pregnancy journeys on her Instagram.

She announced her second pregnancy on December 17, 2018, in a Christmas-themed family photo.

She wrote,

We are happy to announce we have a baby girl joining us in July! We will now have our starting 5 🙂 #teamnash

Lilla gave birth to Ruby Jean Nash on June 26, 2019.

She is active on Instagram, where she posts glimpses from her past and her hectic but rewarding life as a mother.

Lilla Frederick, born on July 3, 1990, in Orange County, California, is a former professional volleyball player.

She played for Pepperdine University and was a member of the USA Junior National Team in 2009.

She won the gold medal at the NORCECA Women’s Junior Continental Championship 2008.

Her athletic background complements Nash’s sports-centric life, and together, they have built a family that values physical activity and teamwork.
