Forrest Mazey, a former McAlester High School football coach who most recently served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Kilgore College, has been going viral recently.
The former Kilgore College coach, Forrest Mazey, has been making back-to-back headlines, first for his involvement in an embezzlement case and now for deleting his Twitter account.
Forrest Mazey, 43, was recently arrested and charged with felony embezzlement after allegedly misusing approximately $4,676 from McAlester Public School’s football apparel fund.
Court filings indicate that between December 17, 2024, just one day after his resignation, and May 2025, Mazey placed orders in athletic gear and apparel using the school’s Adidas account.
These purchases, made across eight different dates, were shipped directly to his home address and traced back to his login credentials.
The investigation began in early June when a school official noticed the football program’s funds had been depleted and the new staff had authorized purchases, according to reports.
Mazey entered a not guilty plea and was released on a $1,000 bond.
Just after the news of his fraudulent case went viral, Forrest Mazey deleted his official Twitter account, further grabbing people’s attention.
While many believe that Forrest’s actions were disgusting and that he should be punished, some believe he has been falsely accused and is innocent.
One wrote:
“I know him personally.He is a great person with a wonderful beautiful family & he is a great coach.It seems as if when people have it out for you they do and say a lot of things that aren’t true in an attempt to ruin your reputation and your life.

Another added:
“Embezzling money is not normal behavior, period.Pointing guns at folks isn’t normal behavior period.I’m not saying he’s just the lowest of low but he’s not the cream of the crop that’s for sure.Don’t steal from the kids.”

Similarly, many believe that Forrest Mazey deleted his Twitter account due to numerous hateful comments; some also believe that Twitter suspended his account following his unlawful act.
However, despite rising curiosity, it is unclear why Forrest Mazey deleted his Twitter account.
Forrest Mazey Was Also Previously Accused of Pointing a Firearm At An Assistant Coach
Prior to his felony embezzlement charge, former Poteau football head coach Forrest Mazey was arrested and accused of pointing a loaded firearm at an assistant coach at McAlister.
According to a lawsuit filed by the assistant coach, Mazey, who was on a school-sponsored coaches’ retreat last summer, when he walked up to an assistant coach in a hot tub.
The lawsuit further added that Mazey pointed a firearm at the assistant coach, taunting and laughing at him, and then stepped a few feet away and shot the firearm into the woods.
Mazey entered an Alford plea in November 2024 to misdemeanor charges of pointing a firearm at an assistant coach and reckless conduct with a firearm.
He received a 90-day deferred sentence with conditions, including no firearm possession and maintaining employment.
Mazey’s recent alleged misconduct reportedly occurred while he was still under probation for the firearm incident.
According to some reports, Kilgore College, where Mazey had been serving as offensive coordinator and QB coach for approximately eight weeks, issued a statement confirming his termination and noted it had only recently become aware of the pending charges.
The coach’s profile has since been removed from the college’s website.
