Former Princeton football player Tiger Bech passed away at the age of 27 on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, leaving his parents and family members devastated.
The tragic demise of Tiger Bech in the New Orleans truck attack was confirmed by his parents, Michelle Bech and Martin Bech.
Michelle stated that Tiger Bech was in Louisiana for a long weekend of hunting and fishing, two of his favorite activities, with college friends from Princeton.
He was scheduled to fly back to New York City on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Michelle, the former Princeton footballer was with his friend on Bourbon Street when the truck hit him.
His friend survived the attack, but Tiger Bech couldn’t make it; however, his parents were able to say goodbye to him before his demise.
Furthermore, after graduating from Princeton University, Tiger’s mother stated that her son moved to New York City to work for Seaport Global, a capital markets firm.
In addition to his mother, Michelle Bech, and father, Martin Bech, Tiger’s younger brother, Jack Bech, mourns the loss of his brother.
His younger brother, Jack Bech, took to his Twitter to share a heartfelt post on Tiger’s demise. Jack wrote:

Late Tiger Bech’s Parents, Michelle, and Martin Bech Are Both Law Graduates!
Martin and Michelle first met while attending Louisiana State University in 1986.
Both Martin and Michelle earned bachelor’s degrees in Political Science from LSU in 1990.
Tiger’s mother, Michelle, studied economics, whereas his father, Martin, studied International Relations.
Similarly, the couple earned a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
Michelle and Martin Bech are not just great parents to the late Tiger Bech and his siblings but also excel in their careers.
The late Tiger Bech’s mother, Michelle, currently serves as the Talent Acquisition Manager at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith.
Before that, she owned a law firm, Michelle Bech, Executive & Attorney Recruting LLC, for over eight years.
Michelle also owned the Legal and Professional Seach Group, which was established in 2000. She ran the company for over 23 years.
Likewise, Tiger’s father, Martin, began his career journey as an associate at Phelps Dunbar LLP in 1997, where he served for over 4 years before becoming the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of UNIFAB International, Inc.
Martin serves as Vice president of Acadian Companies at Lafayette, Louisiana; he has held this position since December 2021.
Tiger Bech Began His Football Journey From St. Thomas More High School!
The late wide receiver Tiger Bech developed his passion for football from a very young age; he began playing football while attending St. Thomas More High School.
During high school, Tiger was one of three players in school history to win the Silver Cougar award three times.
He also led his team to three district titles and three state quarterfinals and played wide receiver, quarterback, punt returner, and defensive back.
Tiger began his Princeton football journey in 2017; during his freshman year, he caught three passes for 43 yards and returned nine punts for 111 yards during the first five games of the Ivy championship season.
During his senior year, Tiger helped Princeton post the highest-scoring offense in IVY League history and post its first perfect season since 1964.
However, Tiger Bech decided to put a pause on his football journey to focus on his career; he was living his life to the fullest before the tragic accident took his life.
