Roel Lopez from Corpus Christi, Texas, recently shared a post from Melanie Ramon regarding a former football player who fails to pay after booking a ride.
In the post, Melanie warned Uber and Lyft drivers about former Ray High School football player Andrew Mendiola.

According to the post, Mendiola booked a ride and offered to pay the driver off the clock, but he never actually paid.
Former Ray High School Football Player Fails to Pay Driver After Booking a Ride!
After booking a ride, Mendiola reportedly told the driver that he had just gotten out of jail and that a friend had stolen his company credit card, leaving him with an $11,000 bill.
Despite these claims, he failed to follow through on multiple promises to pay, including offers to pay in cash or via Zelle.
Later, attempts to contact him, including calls to his supposed accountant, went unanswered.
In the post, Melanie Ramon advised other drivers to be cautious and mentioned that a report for theft of services has already been filed.
Other rideshare drivers who had similar experiences were encouraged to take action as well.
Following the post, many who have share the similar experience with Mendiola have commented.
Multiple comments on the post indicated that Mendiola has a history of owing money to others, with one person saying he owes them $80.
In the post, Melanie also confirms that Mendiola talks about his military service, construction business, and faith in God while failing to honor his payment commitments.
While this is not the first time such behavior from Andrew has been observed in the community, Melanie Ramon seems to be raising awareness through her post.
