David Kellier, a former standout athlete at St. Thomas University, has recently come under news following his arrest in connection with a felony charge related to child abuse.

The Florida native was taken into custody by the School Board Police Department, officially recorded under agency code 98.

Authorities have charged Kellier under Florida Statute 827.03(2)(c), which pertains to cruelty toward a child, specifically, abuse that does not result in great bodily harm.

Despite the gravity of the allegations, Kellier’s legal status remains unresolved, as the court has yet to determine his guilt.

Additionally, details about the child involved in the case have not been disclosed publicly to protect their privacy.

Neither his family nor his close associates have publicly reported the situation.

David Kellier Was A Key Player In STU’s Inaugural Football Season!

David Kellier is a former defensive lineman for St. Thomas University’s football team who also competed in track and field events.

He was part of the inaugural football season at St. Thomas University. He appeared in all ten games in 2019 for Bobcat1 and recorded 21 tackles, including two tackles-for-loss.

In the 2020 season, he played as a linebacker, appearing in four games and recording five tackles.

Moreover, Kellier competed in shot put, discus throw, and javelin in track and field.

He had notable performances in events like the Bobcats Last Chance Meet and the Sun Conference Championship.

His best discus throw was 41.04m (134′ 8″), and his best shot put was 12.42m (40′ 9″).

Beyond his athletic career, Kellier has been actively involved in coaching and education.

Since August 2023, he has served as a football coach and substitute teacher at Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School in Lake Worth, Florida.

In addition to his sports background, Kellier holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University.

According to the report, he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Florida International University and is expected to graduate in 2026.

His academic and professional trajectory has been marked by dedication to athletics and mentorship.

However, his career remains unclear due to the recent case, and others have no official statements regarding his future prospects.
