Rex O. Culpepper, born on August 17, 1997, in Tampa, Florida, was a dedicated athlete and accomplished student who made his mark as a quarterback at Syracuse University.

A Tampa native, he attended Plant High School, where he was a standout quarterback and two-time captain.

Ranked among the top quarterbacks in Florida, he passed for over 2,100 yards and 21 touchdowns in his high school career.

He enrolled at Syracuse in 2016, redshirting his first year. He appeared in 30 games throughout his college career, including 16 at quarterback, and achieved 1546 passing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Notably, he switched positions to tight end during the 2018 season before returning to quarterback, showcasing his commitment to the team.

He earned multiple SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and ACC Honor Roll selections and received the inaugural Jim DaRin Courage Award after successfully battling testicular cancer in 2018.

Apart from football, he also served as an attorney.
