Vicki Brick, the CEO of Brick Bodies Fitness Services, a family-owned gym business established in 1985 by her parents, Victor and Lynne Brick, passed away after battling ovarian cancer.

She took over the company in 2015 and was known for her leadership, innovation, and dedication to the fitness community.

Tragically, she passed away after battling ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August 2021, shortly after her 40th birthday.

Despite her diagnosis, she continued to inspire others through her leadership at Brick Bodies Fitness.

Vicki Brick Was A Former Basketball Player For The Maryland Terrapins!

Vicki, a talented athlete, played basketball during her college years at the University of Maryland.

She had an impressive basketball career as a guard for the Maryland Terrapins from 2000 to 2004.

During that time, she played in 115 games, averaging 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

She was known for her leadership and was the team captain during her senior year, helping the Terrapins reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Additionally, she was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for all four years of her college career.

After her time at Maryland, she played basketball internationally in Australia and the Philippines before transitioning into the fitness industry.

Her dedication and passion for sports were evident both on and off the court.

Later, she pursued a career in the fitness industry, becoming the CEO of Brick Bodies Fitness Services Inc.

Brick Remained Positive And Dedicated Despite Her Illness!

Brick was named a Top Executive in 2015 by Smart CEO. Earlier in 2013, the Baltimore Sun honored her as one of the “50 Women to Watch,” and the Daily Record named her a “Leading Woman.”

After spending years in the fitness industry and becoming CEO of Brick Bodies Fitness Services Inc., she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2021.

Before her ovarian cancer diagnosis, she gave birth to her daughter, Jordan.

When Vicki Brick received her medical report directly from her doctor, she turned to Google for answers.

She found out that she had an aggressive form of ovarian cancer with poor survival rates and no cure, which left her deeply shaken.

She felt overwhelmed and started crying, thinking:

Does this mean I’m going to die? I was afraid I would not see my daughter grow up.

Despite the challenges of battling cancer, she maintained her commitment to raising awareness about ovarian cancer.

Vicki’s passing deeply impacted her family and the community. Her parents, Victor and Lynne Brick, expressed their loss.

They remembered her as a cherished daughter, loving mother, wife, and sister.

One of the well-wishers described her as a good leader, saying:

I will forever be grateful and appreciative of Vicki! She truly was paving a way for women in leadership in this industry. Vicki was fearless, loyal and had the upmost integrity. Sending my best to the family.
