I don’t even have the words to make this post. My brother and I were very close and the truth is, it hasn’t even hit me yet that he is gone. I know that he had an impact on so many people in Georgia. We did so much as children, and we shared so many of my current hobbies and endeavors that include but not limited to refereeing and coaching. We hardly ever agreed on sports for sure and we were both highly competitive since birth. It’ll never get easier bc we still had so many things to share and I wish I could’ve shared the soccer field just one more fucking time as a referee and if we would’ve been able to share the sideline as coaches, we would’ve built something that was indestructible. I promise that I will dedicate every game I officiate, and every game that I coach to you. I love you David Alvara may you rest in peace.

I honestly don’t even know what to say. I ran into him all of the time uptown and we would talk, even if only for a minute. He always had a warm hug and that big smile to offer. This devastated me last night and I have thought about you and Mrs. Martha all day today. I love y’all, and I cherish all of the memories we all made together over the years.
