A 2019 graduate of Winfield City High School, Ashlyn Jade Parr Johnson, passed away on Wednesday.

Ashlyn Jade Parr was born on April 10, 2001, in Winfield, Alabama. She went to Winfield City High School, where she played softball.

She attended Bevill State Community College, where she pursued a degree in computer science.

Ashlyn served as a server at Another Broken Egg in Guntersville while continuing her studies.

Parr was an avid gamer and enjoyed drawing, riding horses, and hiking.

Winfield, Alabama resident Ashlyn Jade Parr Johnson took her last breath on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the age of 24. The cause of death has not been revealed.

Jordan Parr, who works at Quality Tank Testing, took to Facebook and sent prayers to Ashlyn’s family. He wrote,

Love you Ashlyn Jade Parr. You were gone too soon! Seems like I was just talking to you! Say hi to my mom and sisters for me.

Allyson Killingsworth, former Librarian Assistant at Winfield Public Library, offered her heartfelt condolences. She wrote,

I am so sorry for y’all’s loss! I remember Ashlyn when she was a little girl, and we lived across the road from her and her family on Pine Ave. She was so funny and always full of energy! She was such a sweet kid! That’s how I’ll always remember her! I hate to hear of her passing!!! Prayers of God’s comfort to her family and friends!

I am so saddened to hear this devastating news. My thoughts and prayers are with Ryan and the entire family as they navigate through this heartbreaking loss.

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Ashlyn’s family to stay strong in this challenging time.

Funeral services for Ashlyn will be held on Monday evening, August 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.

A private burial service will take place in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm.

Ashlyn Jade Parr Johnson Is Survived By Her Husband, Jace Johnson

Former softball player Ashlyn Jade Parr Johnson was married to Jace Johnson in 2021.

On April 25, 2022, Ashlyn took to her official Facebook handle and wished Jace a happy 1st wedding anniversary. She wrote,

Happy 1 year anniversary (yesterday) to the man of my dreams. Thank you for being so kind, patient, and loving always. I can’t imagine life without you. I love you so much.

As per Jace’s Facebook handle, he graduated from South Lamar High School.

Sadly, their married life ended after 4 years following the death of Ashlyn.

Jace took to his official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of his wife. He wrote,

Life is too short. Make sure you hold the ones you love close. She was my best friend and I loved her more than anything in this world. I love you Ashlyn jade ❤️ I’ll miss you until I see you again
