A beloved son, brother, and talented baseball player, Gehrig Fleming, tragically passed away untimely on October 22, 2025, at the young age of 22.
Gehrig is survived by his parents, Kathleen and John Fleming; his sisters, Jaime and Shea; his brother, Michael Antonini; his sister-in-law, Stacey; and his nephew, Ace.
His father, John, took to his Facebook, writing his heart out:
It’s with a heavy heart and I have to let everyone know that my best friend and Buddy is no longer with us. As a parent, this is our worst nightmare and now it is now my reality.
John Fleming
Born on February 3, 2003, Gehrig was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers, but his love for sports went beyond cheering from the sidelines.
Gehrig was an active baseball player, competing with teams like the DELCO Bandits, PA Rebels, and the Red Men of the West Chester Area Men’s Baseball League.
Likewise, he also played at the collegiate level for Rowan College of South Jersey and York College of Pennsylvania.

Off the field, he enjoyed golf and staying active through workouts.
Whether he was joking with friends, helping his sister Shea pick out the perfect dress, or proudly supporting the chocolate milk industry, Gehrig lived life to the fullest.
Likewise, Gehrig was also a committed student. He was pursuing a business degree at York College of Pennsylvania before recently transferring to West Chester University of Pennsylvania to continue his studies.
Gehrig played for the West Chester Rustin High School and the West Chester Red Men summer team before joining the Spartans.
In his first year with York College in 2024, Gehrig appeared in three games but had his season cut short due to an injury.
During his time on the field, he recorded one RBI and drew a walk in a game against Albright on March 16, though he went 0-for-3 at the plate.
A viewing for Gehrig will reportedly be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the D’Anjolell-Barone Memorial Home of Wallingford, located at 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086.
On Wednesday, October 29, another viewing will take place from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Francis De Sales Church, 35 New Rd., Aston Township, PA 19014, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Whereas, burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Gehrig’s parents, siblings, teammates, and extended family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Gehrig Fleming!
