Friends, family, and colleagues mourn the death of John Bellio, remembering him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected mentor.

John Bellio’s career spanned more than four decades and left a lasting mark on both the real estate industry and the Fort Wayne community.

Beginning in the 1980s with Roth Wehrly Realtors, John quickly established himself as a professional who valued not just transactions, but relationships.

His vision and drive led him to co-found Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber, which grew into one of Indiana’s leading brokerages.

For more than 30 years, John mentored countless Realtors, setting high standards of professionalism and encouraging others to find both success and joy in their work.

He served as president of the Upstate Alliance of Realtors, where he was later inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry.

Known for his clear communication, problem-solving skills, and generosity, John helped shape the careers of many current and future leaders in real estate.

Beyond business, John gave his time generously as a soccer coach, mentor, and community advocate.

In 2019, he realized a lifelong dream by founding the Fort Wayne Football Club, further cementing his role as both a builder and a visionary.

Whether in real estate, sports, or personal relationships, John believed in hard work, camaraderie, and living life to the fullest.

Loved Ones Celebrate the Life and Legacy of John Bellio After His Death

On August 16, 2025, John Bellio passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.

His passing marked the loss of not only a respected leader but also a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

John is survived by his father, George; his wife, Terri; his daughters, Erica and Jennifer; and his grandchildren, Beckett, Lyla, and Carter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Trinka, and his beloved dog, OllieBoy.

The community has responded with an outpouring of tributes, remembering John as a mentor, friend, and man of generosity.

Colleagues and friends described him as someone who worked hard, loved deeply, and left an indelible impact on everyone he met.

Many shared stories of his generosity, humor, and unwavering dedication, vowing to honor his legacy by carrying forward his values of kindness, mentorship, and service.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home in Huntertown from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held the following day, August 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church in Fort Wayne, followed by entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

John’s life reminds all who knew him of the power of generosity, the importance of community, and the joy of living life with passion.

His influence will continue to live on through the countless people and communities he helped build.
