Anthony Rose’s life took an unexpected turn when, two years after graduating from college, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

He served his sentence from 2008 to 2020 in the Upstate and federal prison systems.

Following his release in 2020, Anthony Rose waited five years before sharing his journey, including reflections on mental health and spirituality, through a Facebook Live.

On October 27, 2025, Rose went live on his Facebook page to reflect on his experiences.

In the video, he noted that while college taught him lessons, prison earned him more love and respect than anything else.

He also highlighted his efforts to give back to the community, helping youth with mental health initiatives through his organization STGGTS and exploring AI automation with STGAI.

The comments on his video show the impact Rose has had on people around him.

Many supporters praised his resilience and transformation, noting that he turned his struggles into purpose.
