The 20-year-old Genesee Community College soccer player, Charlie Forkell, tragically passed away following a fatal motorcycle accident on June 17, 2025.
The promising and rising player’s life was tragically cut short following a fatal motorcycle accident.
Charlie Forkell is survived by his parents, Chuck Forkell and Amber Nicole, and sister Bella Forkell.
His mother, Amber Nicole, changed her profile picture to one featuring Charlie, a silent tribute to her beloved son, on June 17, 2025.
On June 18, 2025, she penned a lengthy post expressing grief, gratitude, love, and remembrance in honor of a beloved son’s life.
I thought I knew pain—I had no idea. Charlie touched the lives of so many people and furry friends in his short life that it’s impossible to count them all.

My soccer-loving, tasty-chip-loving, sunset-loving, pet-whispering boy (with the most amazing hair) is in Heaven now. God has a plan, and I’m not meant to understand. The peace I find is in knowing that he will be the miracle that other families have been praying for. He will keep living through his gifts to others.

Through the farewell post celebrating his life, Amber revealed that his organs will be donated.
She expressed deep gratitude for the immense outpouring of love and support from her family, friends, and everyone who cared for them.
To all who know and love Charlie, THANK YOU—for the experiences you gave and shared with him, for the smiles you put on his face, and for the support you have given to me, Bella, Chuck, Kelly, Noah, and the rest of our families. I simply can not express my gratitude enough.

Reportedly, Charlie’s Honor Walk is scheduled for 3 p.m. on June 20, 2025, at Strong Hospital, Unit 3.1800.

Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Amber Nicole is the founder and owner of Hance Holdings LLC, a business she established in September 2011.
In addition to running her own company, she began serving as the Chief Financial Officer at AA Cabling, LLC in September 2024.
A product of Victor High School, Charlie Forkell, was a Midfielder at Genesee Community College!
Charlie Forkell, wearing jersey #10, made his mark as a key playmaker on the Victor High School Boys Varsity Soccer team from 2021 through 2024.
Over his four-year tenure, he emerged as a reliable presence on the field.
Standing at 5’11” and representing Victor, New York, freshman midfielder Charles Forkell stepped into collegiate soccer with quiet confidence and consistent effort during the 2023–24 season.
Charles appeared in 10 matches and scored a commanding 6-0 win over SUNY Broome.
Though his stat line reads 1 goal, 0 assists, and 2 points, he made an impact on a team that delivered a string of dominant performances, including multiple shutouts and blowout victories like the 15-0 matches against Erie and SUNY Adirondack.
With a shot percentage of .333 and appearances in every game, he proved his reliability and adaptability early on, even without official starts or game-winners to his name.
Now that he isn’t anymore, words can’t suffice how his family must be going through.
During this ordeal, we offer our sincere condolences to Charlie Forkell’s parents, sister, friends, teammates, and extended family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Charlie Forkell!
