Corrigan, who graduated from the university in 2005, earned four letters in gymnastics from 2002 to 2005.

He achieved All-American status on the parallel bars in 2005 and became team captain during the 2004-05 season.

Following his tenure at Michigan, Corrigan underwent training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center under the guidance of former world champion Vitaly Marinich.

During this period, he secured seventh place in the all-around competition at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships, securing a spot on the U.S. senior national team.

Furthermore, he served as the athlete ambassador at the Olympic Training Center in 2008.

This gathering provides a platform for those whose lives were touched by Geoffrey to come together, share memories, extend sympathy, and honor a truly well-lived life.

Syque Caesar, whom Corrigan coached in the 2012 Olympic Games, expressed his deep sorrow, stating,

“Incredibly saddened about the tragic loss of my coach, mentor, and friend, Geoff Corrigan.”

Corrigan graduated from William J. Palmer High School and earned a philosophy degree from the University of Michigan.

During his remarkable 11-season tenure as an Assistant Coach for the University of Michigan’s Men’s Gymnastics Team, Corrigan played a crucial role in their success.

His contributions were instrumental in helping the Wolverines secure consecutive NCAA and Big Ten Championships, earning him the prestigious 2013-14 CGA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year accolades.

In his first year with the Wolverines, Corrigan helped Michigan clinch its fourth NCAA team title, the second under Kurt Golder and the first since 1999.
