The former American baseball player George Brett and his wife Leslie Davenport are proud parents of three sons.

While they named their son Jackson after George’s father, he called their other sons after two of his favorite famous people.

Following in George’s footsteps, all three sons initially played baseball. Jackson and Dylan Brett went as far as to play collegiate baseball but never became professional athletes.

George Howard Brett, better known as George Brett, is a former professional baseball player who played as a third baseman.

He played in 21 seasons in the MLB for the Kansas City Royals, starting in 1973.

The third baseman became the World Series champion in 1985 and was named to the All-Star 13 times consecutively (1976-1988).

Moreover, he was a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner. Not to mention, he also won the Gold Glove Award in 1985.

Almost a year after his retirement, the Kansas City Royals retired the No. 5 in his honor, a jersey number he wore during his entire MLB career.

The former player was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.

George Brett Wife: Marriage With Leslie And Kids

The baseball legend, George Brett, married his wife Leslie Davenport in February 1992.

Leslie was about eleven years younger than George and had been a Wichita, Kansas, resident all her life.

Though not much of a baseball fan, she sometimes attended her boyfriend’s games with his friend Ed Molotsky.

According to George’s friend Ed, George first saw Leslie at a party in Kansas and liked her immediately.

When he asked her out, she denied initially, not knowing who he was as she did not watch baseball that much.

However, he did not give up. George often sent her chocolates and desserts for Leslie at the clothing where she worked. Eventually, Leslie agreed to a date, and it all worked out from then onwards.

Sixteen months after meeting at a party, the duo tied the knot in a private ceremony attended only by the families.

George was 38, while Leslie was 27 during their marriage.

George and Leslie share three sons named Jackson, Dylan, and Robin from their 32 years of marriage.

His oldest son Jackson played baseball for the Shawnee Mission East High School and the University of St. Thomas.

Presently, he has been working as a real estate agent at Re/Max.

Likewise, Leslie gave birth to their second son, Dylan Brett, on July 20, 1994. His parents were great fans of Bob Dylan, so they named him after him.

Growing up, Dylan was interested in baseball and played for his high school team at Shawnee Mission East.

He later enrolled at the University of Kansas and played baseball for the Jayhawks.

Besides, there is little information about his third son, Robin Brett. George named him after the Milwaukee Brewers baseball legend Robin Yount
