George Chelston Springer III, a professional MLB player for the Toronto Blue Jays, is married to Charlise Castro. The couple has two kids together.

The first child, George Chelston Springer IV, was born in 2018; during that time, George and Charlise were already married. They tied the knot on January 20, 2018, in Newport Beach, California.

George, 35, and his wife first met in 2011 in a sporting event at the University of Connecticut. Charlise was an international softball player for Puerto Rico at that time, while George was just rising above the ranks in Baseball.

Previously, in 2008, he was even drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 48th round, but he chose to represent College itself. He played at the University of Connecticut from 2009 to 2011.

Later in 2011, he was drafted by the Houston Astros. After a couple of years representing Lancaster JetHawks, Corpus Christi Hooks, and Oklahoma City RedHawks, he finally debuted in MLB for the Astros on April 16, 2014.

From 2015 onward, he became a regular leadoff Hitter for the team. It was the same year his wife began her career in Fitness and Wellness after rejecting a professional career in sports.

He had a great couple of seasons from 2017 to 2020, winning the World Series, winning the MVP, winning the Silver Slugger, and being selected for the MLB All-Star.

The Astro star parted ways with the team and signed for the Toronto Blue Jays after being a free agent. He went on to sign a 6-year, $150m contract.

In the third season with the Blue Jays, he was a father for the second time. He also took paternity leave on Saturday, July 8, 2023, and missed two games against the Detroit Tigers.

The daughter’s name is currently kept private by the couple. They also tend to blur their Children’s faces while posting on social media.
