Gerald Keith McCoy Jr., better known as Gerald McCoy, is an American former professional football player who played in the NFL, starting in 2010.

The football defensive tackle debuted for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 12, 2010, after they picked him as the 3rd overall pick in the draft.

Gerald played for four clubs, including the Bucs, in the league for over a decade until he announced his retirement in 2021. He won many awards and accolades, including selection in six Pro Bowl games.

Before his professional league journey, McCoy was a collegiate athlete at the University of Oklahoma, where he played for the Sooners under head coach Bob Stoops for three seasons.

The couple currently has five kids. Their two children, Marcellus and Nevaeh, were born out of wedlock.

Gerald was fourteen when Ebony gave birth to their first son, Marcellus, in 2002. Marcellus plays collegiate football as a Fort Hays State Tigers wide receiver. 

Similarly, after their marriage, Ebony and Gerald had three more children, including the twins, Germany and Gerald III. Their youngest son, Mars, was born in 2019.

Additionally, he received a huge sum of $3.6 million as a signing bonus. Four years later, the Buccs extended his contract, and he consequently signed a seven-year deal worth $98 million with the club on October 25.
