Gerry Glasco, born on October 29, 1958, is a well-known softball coach, currently leading the Texas Tech softball team.

He previously coached the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, where he had a successful tenure with multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and conference titles.

Glasco has also held coaching roles at Georgia, Texas A&M, and Auburn, contributing to teams that reached the Women’s College World Series.

Recently, Texas Tech’s softball team, under Glasco’s leadership, is preparing for the Tallahassee Super Regional against Florida State.

Glasco has emphasized offensive strength, promising his players that the team would score at least 360 runs this season. So far, they’ve exceeded that with 386 runs.

Gerry Glasco And His Wife Have Been Together For Over Four Decades!

Gerry Glasco is married to Vickie Glasco. Beyond her role as a supportive spouse, there is limited publicly available information about her personal life.

She was notably present at key moments, such as the November 2017 press conference announcing Gerry Glasco as head coach at Louisiana-Lafayette.

In 2019, she also attended the ceremony retiring their late daughter Geri Ann’s jersey at Oconee County High School.

Despite her husband’s public career as a softball coach, Vickie maintains a relatively private presence.

Their family has deep roots in the softball community, as their three daughters, all of whom have played softball.

One of them, Tara Glasco Archibald, has been the head coach at Eastern Illinois University since August 2019.

Before that, she was an assistant coach at Illinois State from 2017 to 2019.

Erin Glasco, another daughter, played softball at Texas A&M, where she competed in the Women’s College World Series in 2008.

She has remained connected to the sport, supporting her family’s legacy in softball.

Geri Ann, a standout softball player, earned accolades at Georgia and Oregon. She was beginning her coaching career when the accident occurred.

Known for her versatility as both a pitcher and a position player, she had a promising future in coaching before her untimely passing.

Her legacy continues to be honored in the softball community, including a memorial scholarship established in her name to support aspiring female softball coaches.

Glasco recently reflected on his family’s connection to the Women’s College World Series.

He shared emotional memories of his late daughter, Geri Ann, who played for Oregon before her passing.
