Tragically, on June 25, 2025, Philbin passed away at the age of 83 in Jupiter, Florida.
His family reportedly revealed that he had been suffering from dementia in his later years.

In his later years, Gerry Philbin led a quieter life centered around family and reflection.
Tragically, he passed away peacefully, leaving behind a profound legacy cherished by all who knew him.
His family first shared the heartbreaking news of his passing through a personal and heartfelt public message. They wrote:
