Glennon Doyle, an American author and queer activist, found her true love in her longtime wife, Abby Wambach, a renowned retired soccer player and coach.
The Untamed author, Glennon Doyle, first met her wife, Abby Wambach, at the launch of Doyle’s Love Warrior book event in Chicago in 2016, when they were both married to their ex-partners.
Glennon Doyle was married to Craig Melton, a former model, for 14 years, before their divorce in 2016, whereas Abby Wambach was married to soccer Player Sarah Huffman.
Furthermore, after their separation from their ex-partners, Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambach, her wife, confirmed their relationship in November 2016.
Glennon Doyle took to her Facebook to announce their relationship and wrote:
“Feels like the world could use all the love it can get right now. So today, I’m going to share with you my new love. Her name is Abby. You might recognize her from Soccer. She was one of the best players of all time, she has been a fierce and committed advocate for women’s equality for a decade. And honestly? Those are the least impressive things about her.”

She continued by appreciating her partner Abby, who is deeply sensitive and kind, and stated that her kids call Abby an M&M —tough and firm on the outside, but soft and sweet on the inside.
Glennon also added that her loving Partner, Abby Wambach, is close to her ex-husband, Craig, and their kids, and the family dines together.
Months later, the couple got engaged in February 2017 and announced the news, sharing two black-and-white photos of their ringed fingers on Social media.
Glennon captioned the photo “Abby and I decided to hold hands forever,” and a day later, Wambach posted the same picture with a caption “Happy #iseethemoonnow.”
Similarly, three months after their engagement, Glennon and Abby tied the knot on May 14, 2017, in front of family and friends and have been happily married for almost a decade.
Prior to meeting Glennon Doyle, her wife, Abby, showcased her amazing athletic skills by playing soccer for several renowned teams, including Washington Freedom, Western New York Flash, and Magic Jack. She also represented the United States in several international games, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Furthermore, the couple also collaborates and attends several shows; they teamed up to speak at Hello Sunshine x Together Live, an event hosted by Reese Witherspoon’s media company.
In May 2021, Glennon Doyle and her wife launched their podcast, We Can Do Hard Things, with Doyle’s sister, Amanda.
They have also undertaken several charity projects together and raised $250,000 to support people affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Glennon Doyle shares three adorable kids, two daughters named Amma and Tish Melton, and a son named Chase Melton with her ex-husband Craig Melton.
However, despite their separation, Gleenon Doyle and her former husband Craig mutually take care of their three kids, and Abby Wambach also plays a significant role as a mother.
In an interview, Abby Wambach stated that she, Craig, and Glennon make a choice every day and ensure that kids’ lives are as little disrupted as possible.
She also stated that Craig and she even coached their daughter Tish’s soccer team together.
“Craig gave me the biggest gift in allowing me into the family dynamic; he gave the kids permission to love me,” said Abby.
Their daughter, Tish Melton, is an amazing singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. For her debut EP, she teamed up with nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist Brandi Carlile, who is a mentor to Melton, and joined as producer.
Likewise, their only son, Chase Melton, is following in his mother Glennon’s footsteps and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature at Harvard University.
