While Tenney’s father, Frederick Haworth Tenney, was a research physicist, his mother, Dr. Lillian Sandra Baum, was a psychiatrist.

Furthermore, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in 1984, majoring in drama and philosophy.

While Tenney has had an illustrious acting career, he has not worked in anything new since 2022.

Later, he married film producer and theatre executive Leslie Urdang on June 16, 2012.

On the contrary, Teri Hatcher has found tremendous success in her acting career.
