Buddy Hield, an NBA player, shares a loving bond with his girlfriend, Remi Martinii, with whom he shares two kids.

Hield, born on December 17, 1992, in Eight Mile Rock, Bahamas, began showcasing his basketball talent early by leading his Jack Hayward High School team to multiple championships.

He moved to Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, where he guided the team to a national championship and earned MVP honors.

He then attended the University of Oklahoma, where he steadily improved each year.

As a freshman, he scored 7.8 points per game and later averaged 16.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals as a sophomore.

Selected sixth overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2016 NBA Draft, Buddy Hield quickly made an impression, scoring 21 points in December and earning Western Conference Rookie of the Month.

Midway through his rookie season, he was traded to the Sacramento Kings, where he recorded a career-high 30 points in April and earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

In the 2017-2018 season, Hield thrived in a sixth-man role, shooting a career-high 43.1% from three-point range.

He continued to impress, winning the 2020 NBA Three-Point Contest and becoming the fastest player to reach 1,000 career three-pointers.

After being traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2022, Hield set a franchise record for three-pointers in a season and remained a consistent performer.

In 2023, he became the second-fastest player to hit 1,500 career three-pointers and set the record for the fastest field goal in NBA history.

In 2024, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers before moving to the Golden State Warriors, where he made NBA history with the most three-pointers in a player’s first two games for a new team.

Buddy Hield and Remi Martinii Support Each Other as Parents and Partners

Buddy Hield is currently in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Remi Martinii, and their bond continues to thrive.

While the exact details of how they met remain private, the couple prefers to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.

Like Buddy, Remi also hails from the Bahamas and was born on August 21, 1994.

She began modeling in 10th grade after being discovered by Bahamian photographer Christine Demeritte.

Despite struggling with insecurities growing up, she excelled in modeling while prioritizing her education.

She graduated with a law degree from the University of Westminster, London, though she has yet to pursue a legal career, stating:

I may practice law later in my career. I mean it’s not something I have my heart set on right now. But you never know so I won’t say no.

When asked if her legal studies had any impact on her modeling, she explained:

One thing that I have learned from studying law that may relate to modeling is for one I will always read contracts before signing them. I will never make the mistake of signing a contract without thoroughly going through the terms. Secondly, studying law even helped me gain more confidence. Studying law required a lot of presentation and communication with your peers and professors. I’ve never really liked speaking to large groups of people but during my course, it helped me gain more confidence.

Beyond modeling, she launched a swimsuit line, RH2o Swim, which emphasizes mother-daughter designs inspired by her experiences as a mom.

The couple shares two children: a daughter named Rainer, born on November 8, 2017, and a son, River, born in 2021.

Reflecting on motherhood, she shared:

Since I have been blessed with my baby girl I’ve been working on becoming a better person. … Since Rainer, my relationship with God has definitely gotten stronger. Being a mom you just want to be the best role model for your kids. I have become a lot more motivated.

In response to whether motherhood changed her approach to modeling, she explained:

I don’t model as much. A lot of my modeling took place back home in the Bahamas. I have not really tried to pursue it as much since I had my daughter. My main focus has been my family, my health, and fitness, and also working on my business. However, if a company that I’m interested in asked me to model for them I wouldn’t turn them down. Rainer has also inspired the future business that I have been working on which will be coming soon. I have been working on it for the past two and a half years. I don’t want to say too much about it yet but I will be promoting it very soon.

She now focuses on family, health, fitness, and her business ventures.

While balancing parenting and their professional lives, Buddy and Remi have created a loving and supportive environment for their children.

Despite being in a high-profile relationship, Remi maintains that she feels no pressure, saying:

No, I don’t ever feel pressured to being in a high-profile relationship. I’ve never felt the pressure to change who I am. I’ve always felt comfortable being me. When I look at my partner, I don’t see someone that’s famous I just see the person that I fell in love with before all the fame. That’s something that won’t ever change.
