Graham Rahal’s month of May 2023 at the Indianapolis 500 was filled with unfortunate events.

First, he failed to qualify for the race but later got a last-minute opportunity to drive for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing after Stefan Wilson’s injury.

However, as the drivers were instructed to start their engines on race day, Rahal encountered a battery issue and couldn’t get his car to turn on.

While the other cars began their pace laps, Rahal’s stalled car sat on the track, causing inconvenience to other drivers who had to drive around him.

Rahal repeatedly told his team that there was no power in the car, and they attempted to jumpstart the engine.

Despite their efforts, they had limited time, and Rahal lost two laps before finally getting back on the track.

This series of setbacks made for a brutal start for Rahal, who was already at a disadvantage starting as the 33rd and final car on the grid.
