Former NFL Pro Bowler and UFC fighter Greg Hardy is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
His latest brush with the law centers around a disturbing incident involving Greg Hardy’s girlfriend, who alleges that he assaulted her during a heated argument on June 4, 2025, in Richardson, Texas.
Greg Hardy’s Girlfriend Called 911 After He Allegedly Attacked Her During Their Heated Discussion
According to police and court documents obtained by multiple outlets, Greg Hardy’s girlfriend (whose name has yet to be released) called 911 around 2 PM to report a family violence incident.
She claimed that Hardy pushed her onto a bed and held her down by her neck during a confrontation over cheating allegations.
The dispute reportedly began after the couple returned from a park outing with their children.
The woman confronted Hardy at home about messages she discovered on his phone, suggesting infidelity.
According to her statement, Hardy told her to “get out of his face,” and when she didn’t, he pushed her with both hands on her chest, forcing her onto the bed.
He then allegedly pinned her down with one hand around her neck.
She told officers she could still breathe and never lost consciousness, but began to kick Hardy, which prompted him to grab her feet and push them away, causing her body to twist.
Police at the scene observed visible scratches and redness on her arms, consistent with a physical altercation.
On a pain scale of 1 to 10, the woman reported feeling pain at a level of one.
Hardy did not deny that an altercation had taken place, but told officers his girlfriend had poked him in the forehead, which he claimed “hurt.”

In his version of events, he merely moved her out of the way by grabbing her arms and placing her on the bed.
He denied any further physical confrontation.
Hardy was arrested shortly after and charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
He was booked into the Richardson Police Jail at 2:29 PM and released around noon the next day after posting a $1,000 bond.
Greg Hardy Was Convicted Of Domestic Violence Against His Former Girlfriend In 2014
This is not the first time Greg Hardy has been accused of domestic violence.
In 2014, while playing for the Carolina Panthers, he was placed on the NFL’s exempt list following allegations that he assaulted his then-girlfriend, Nicole Holder.
She claimed Hardy threw her onto furniture, choked her, and threatened her life.

Although Hardy was convicted, the case was dismissed on appeal after Holder failed to appear in court.
Still, the NFL suspended him for 10 games, which was later reduced to four.
The incident sparked public outrage when the Dallas Cowboys signed him the following year.
Hardy’s time with the Cowboys was brief and tumultuous, including altercations with teammates and a widely criticized decision to abandon his luxury car during a flood.
In 2016, he was again arrested, this time for cocaine possession, after police found the substance in his wallet.
He denied knowledge of it, claiming someone at a party may have slipped it there.
As of now, Hardy has not publicly commented on the latest charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
