Hunter Vincent
Vincent was a multi-sport athlete at Gunnison High School. Standing at 5’11” he played varsity baseball, football, and basketball.
Although he was a star player in three sports, football was where Hunter shone brightest.
In 2023, during his junior year, he helped the Gunnison Bears achieve an 8-2 record and advance to the Class 1A playoffs.
As a wide receiver, cornerback, and running back, he caught 10 passes for 132 yards and ran for 97 yards in a playoff win against Yuma, 28-14.
Likewise, Vincent made big plays, like three catches for 55 yards against Meeker in a 30-6 win.
On defense, he had eight tackles in that Yuma game, showing he could do it all.
Whereas, in baseball, he was a solid hitter and pitcher. In 2022, as a freshman, he got hits in eight games, batting over .500 against teams like Aspen and Cedaredge.
In one game against Aspen, he went 4-for-5 in a 23-12 win. He also pitched in 2024, throwing 113 pitches over five games, including a win against Alamosa, 8-1.
Reportedly, Hunter Vincent’s celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred Field Center in Gunnison, Colorado.
During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of Vincent’s parents, friends, and extended family.
Rest Easy, Hunter Vincent!
