Haley Winner of Dubuque, Iowa, Took Her Own Life Just Days After Homecoming, Leaving Her Parents And Siblings Heartbroken

Haley Winner, a beloved student from Dubuque, Iowa, tragically died by suicide, leaving her family, friends, and community in deep mourning.

While her parents remained silent, the community continued to surround them with prayers.

Haley Winner’s Passing Leaves Dubuque and Her Family in Deep Mourning

Haley Winner, 22, was a proud graduate of Dubuque Senior High School in 2021.

She was an active athlete during her high school years, involved in various sports.

Then, she went on to pursue studies in social work at the University of Iowa.

Her tragic passing left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the entire community.

One of her friends’ parents wrote:

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy, especially the family and friends of Haley Winner, it’s a heartbreaking reminder that we never know what someone is going through behind closed doors, and I’m so grateful for the courage of the parents who shared their story to help others find hope and to remember that it’s okay to not be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. My heart is very heavy. my son Ryder knew her since Eisenhower.

Likewise, her close family member also paid heartfelt tribute, saying:

Our family has lost a beautiful and loving young lady and we are all still in shock. Haley was an absolute angel and I can’t believe she’s gone. We would love all the support possible in this tough time, but if anything sending your love and prayers is much appreciated.

There is also a GoFundMe campaign, “Support the Winner Family in Memory of Haley,” created by Jeffrey Hiatt.

The purpose of this campaign is to support Chris and Christina Winner, and their children, Hunter, Bentley, Griffin, and Baleigh, during this heartbreaking time.

Funeral arrangements and a celebration of Haley Winner’s life will be announced by her family in the coming days.
