Cody Cheynne Collins, a member of the football team at Halls High School has tragically passed away.
Cody was born on May 8, 1993, in Knoxville, Tennessee to his father Willie Collins and his mother Lisa Pratt.
He was a member of ROTC and was a veteran, serving for nearly 10 years in the United States Army as a green beret in the 20th special forces group.
Collins enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, riding dirt bikes, motorcycles and loved tractors and old barns.
He participated in many Civil War and WWII reenactments and was part of the 20th Group Special Forces Green Beret.
Cody worked at Y-12 for nearly 8 years on the Special Response Team.

As per the sources, Cody Cheynne Collins, 32, a member of Halls High School football team, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Matt Sexton, a graduate of the University of Tennessee took to his official Facebook handle to announce the tragic news. He wrote,
Bro, the phone call of you passing hurt my heart to its core. I will miss our late night shift conversations and talks about Jesus. I can rest easy knowing you’re now with our Savior. You will be greatly missed buddy.

Mark Ollis, an owner and operator at Ollis Builders Inc took to the comment section and mourned the loss of Cody. He wrote,
So sorry to hear Cody has gone home. So glad to hear home is with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Our prayers for Cody’s family during this hard time.

Cody’s sister Tiffany Collins also took to her official Facebook handle and wrote,
My whole life I wished I also had a brother that I could pester and pick on. Thankful it got to be Cody Collins even for just a short time. Rest easy you big turd, you’re gonna be greatly missed down here! Please keep my husband and the rest of the family in your prayers over the next few days and weeks!

Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel.
A service will follow at 7:00pm officiated by Pastor Nick Wright and Pastor Bryan Wright.
Family and friends will meet at 11:45am Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for a 12:00pm graveside service with full military honors presented by the Tri-County Honor Guard.

Cody Cheynne Collins Is Survived By His Wife Sarah Collins
As per Cody’s Facebook handle, Cody Cheynne Collins was married to Sarah Collins on May 25, 2024.
Sarah is from Maynardville, Tennessee and studied at University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing.
She has been serving as registered nurse at East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group.
Sadly, Cody and Sarah’s married life ended after one year following the death of Cody.
Sarah took to his official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of her husband Cody. She wrote,
It is with a very heavy heart to share that my husband passed away in a car accident last night. Im truly at a loss for words. I’ve loved Cody with my entire heart and soul since the day I met him.

Arrangements have been made at the Mynatt Funerall home in Halls for those who would like to come. Viewing for friends and family who wish to do so can come Friday- funeral will be Saturday- i will share the official information once it’s published with the funeral home.
