Timmy Chang, a former quarterback who currently serves as the head coach of the University of Hawaii’s men’s football team, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, has had the constant support of his longtime wife, Sherry, through all his successes and challenges.

The Honolulu, Hawaii, native Timmy Chang first met his wife, Sherry Chang, a Hamilton, Ontario, Canada native, while he was playing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL during the 2007-08 season.

While Timmy had a short tenure in Canada, he found the love of his life, Sherry, who changed his life.

The couple’s first encounter took place at a local restaurant, where Chang was dining with the team, as Sherry was a 21-year-old server at the establishment.

He was a complete gentleman, and we just hit it off right away,” said Sherry in an interview.

Furthermore, Timmy returned to the restaurant the next night to ask Sherry out on a date and has been together since.

The couple has been together for 17 years and has been married for almost a decade.

Sherry has been his constant supporter from the time he retired from football to the beginning of his coaching career.

In 2009, Timmy retired from football and returned to Hawaii with Sherry. Sherry helped him send emails to every single FBS school.

Despite not getting a response from several schools, the couple didn’t lose hope, eventually leading Timmy to become one of the most renowned coaches in Hawaii.
