Head Coach Kalen DeBoer’s Wife, Nicole Tendler Is a Former Collegiate Athlete

Kalen Douglas DeBoer, an American college football coach who is currently the head coach at the University of Alabama, has been married to Nicole Tendler for 22 years and has two daughters.

Born on October 24, 1974, in South Dakota, DeBoer started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Washington High School in the late 1900s.

He also served as the head coach at the University of Sioux Falls from 2005 to 2009, Fresno State from 2020 to 2021, and the University of Washington from 2022 to 2023.

His teams at Sioux Falls won three NAIA Football National Championships: in 2006, 2008, and 2009.

Kalen DeBoer And His Wife, Nicole Tendler, Tied The Knot Back In 2001

Kalen DeBoer and Nicole Tendler married each other on December 29, 2001, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

They are the proud parents of two daughters, Alexis and Avery DeBoer.

Nicole, born in December 1978 to parents Terry and Lori Tendler, was raised in Sioux Falls.

She graduated with a degree in fitness management from Augustana College.

Moreover, she played 109 games for the college basketball team between 1997 and 2001.

Additionally, Kalen and Nicole’s elder daughter, Alexis DeBoer, is a Washington softball player.

Nicole posted Alexis’ achievements as a proud mother on her Instagram. In her post, Nicole wrote,

Fun times at PGF All-American Games today! Proud of Alexis and what an experience for the players selected! 1 more summer of ball before she’s off to UW.

Alexis DoBoer plays softball for the University of Washington Athletics. She is in her Freshman year and plays as an Infield.

Alexis chose to stay in Washington to play softball, apart from her family in Alabama.

Recently, Alexis posted a picture with her family with the caption, “appreciation post for my favorite people,” which shows that she is very close to her family.

Kalen DeBoer Introduced as Alabama’s Head Coach On January 2024

In the Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Kalen DeBoer was introduced as Alabama’s new head football coach through a press conference on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have entered a new era under Kalen DeBoer after Nick Saban and Paul W. Bryant.

Likewise, people claimed that Kalen lacked the fire of his predecessors and criticized him for his relaxed style.

On the contrary, Greg McElroy, a former Alabama quarterback, said Deboer brings a lot of enthusiasm to the field despite criticism.

Kalen DeBoer had a great start as a coach at Alabama with a series of wins. They recently lost to Vanderbilt Commodores and Tennessee Volunteers.

However, the Alabama Tide bounced back on homecoming with a 34–0 shutout of #21 Missouri.
