Spencer Danielson and his wife, Raechel Jones, met while attending Azusa Pacific University, and the pair have been together for more than a decade.
Spencer Danielson is the current head coach of Boise State University’s football team, a position he assumed in December 2023.
He began his coaching career at Azusa Pacific University as a graduate assistant in 2013, later becoming the linebackers coach.
Danielson joined Boise State in 2017 as a graduate assistant. He quickly advanced through the ranks, becoming defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator.
After Bryan Harsin’s departure in 2021, Danielson briefly served as interim head coach. He then became the defensive coordinator under Andy Avalos.
Following Avalos’s firing in 2023, Danielson was named interim head coach and officially took the role in December.
Danielson has led Boise State to a 15–3 record, including two Mountain West championships. He was named Mountain West Coach of the Year in 2024.
