Hereford HS Student-Athlete Matt Kellam, 17, Passes Away Leaving His Family!

Matt Kellam, a former football player for Hereford High School in Maryland, passed away at the age of 17.

He played a key role on the offensive line as both an offensive guard and offensive tackle, showcasing his versatility, which is highly valued in modern football.

With right-hand dominance and developing physical presence, Kellam built the foundation needed to compete at the next level.

Kellam was known for his toughness on the football field. Friends and family across Maryland have offered their heartfelt condolences.

His best friend Jacob Scheps of Brook Valley Farms, MD, wrote,

“Matt Kellam was one of the most caring, funny, and genuine people I have ever known,” “No matter what he was going through, he always found a way to bring light to the people around him and make others smile.” The loss of Matt has left an immeasurable impact on everyone who knew him, especially his family, who are now facing an incredibly difficult time.”

Moreover, Jacob also organized the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe in order to help Matt’s family with funeral costs.

The campaign aims to collect $22k, and it has already collected over $15,749.

A Facebook handle named Fit with Food shared the official GoFundMe link on their timeline and wrote,

Our hearts are with this Hereford family and the entire Hereford community. Please consider donating to support them during this unimaginable time.

Talia Marie also shared the link and offered heartfelt condolences.

Please consider donating. This was one of Anthony’s friends in school and any contribution will help. I cannot and hope that I never have to understand what this family is going through. I have dealt with an obscene amount of loss in my life, but the loss of a child is one that I could not bear.

The funeral service schedule has not been revealed by his family.
