Hinsdale, Illinois, resident Jack Bryan’s parents are devastated by the tragic death of their son.
Born on June 27, 2008, Jack Bryan committed suicide by crashing the family van into a tree at high speed near Elm School on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 16.
According to the evidence gathered from the accident scene, investigators suggested the crash may have been intentional. The incident is being treated as a possible suicide.
Hinsdale Township High School District 86 released a statement and mourned the tragic loss of their student, Jack.
“We are devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of one of our students, Jack Bryan. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Jack’s family, friends, and all those impacted by this terrible tragedy, We are mobilizing support services to help student and staff during this time of mourning.”

Heather Manning has organized a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help Bryan’s family with funeral costs. The campaign aims to collect $19k, and $8,330 has already been collected.
Bryan’s family announced that the visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S.
Family and Friends will meet at St. Isaac Catholic Church, 306 W 4th Street, Hinsdale, Illinois, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, for a 10 a.m. After the mass, the funeral mass and the interment will be held at Bronswood Cemetery.

Jack Bryan’s father, Daniel “Dan” Bryan, and mother, Helen Hart Bryan, are mourning the tragic loss of their son.
His father Dan’s Facebook handle shows that he studied at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and later attended Iowa State University. He has been working at The Home Depot since March 1, 2023.
On April 9, 2025, Jack’s father Dan, took to his official Facebook handle to announce the tragic news. He wrote,
This is Jack. Smart, funny and a huge heart. Jack took his own life yesterday April 8th by crashing the family van into a tree at high speed near Elm school in Hinsdale. We are so thankful for the short 16 years that he was alive and will miss him forever. Rest in peace my son. We all love you and go with God.

On the other hand, Jack’s mother, Helen, has avoided social media, but she supported him in achieving his dreams.
In addition, Jack is survived by his sister Sarah and one brother, Conor Bryan.
Conor’s Facebook handle showcases that he is from Hinsdale, Illinois, and studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Bryan shared a close bond with his grandparents, John and Anne Hart. He also acquired the adopted grandmothers of Barbara Walsh and Barbara Hopkins.
