Well-respected football coach, Jon Gruden, has always found inspiration in his wife, Cindy’s benevolent work as a philanthropist.

Besides that, Gruden also featured as an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasts from the 2009 to the 2017 seasons.
Football Coach Jon Gruden’s Wife Cindy Gruden Was A Cheerleader!
Jon Gruden’s wife is Cindy Brooks Gruden. They met in 1985 at the University of Tennessee.
While Jon served as a graduate assistant for the volunteer football team, Cindy was a student and a member of the cheerleading squad.
After six years of their serendipitous meeting, Jon tied the knot with Cindy in July of 1991.
The year 2024 marks the 33rd anniversary of their marriage. During these 33 years, Cindy and Jon have been a huge support for each other.
“He used to try to impress me with that ‘X-Y jet scramble’ football talk. You know how he is. He is so full of bull. He just loves to spin a story. I always knew he was headed somewhere. He worked so hard. He had his act together, which was rare at that early age.”

Besides being a supportive wife and mother to Jon’s children, Cindy is a philanthropist. Born on April 29, 1964, Cindy Brooks grew up in her Tennessee neighbourhood with her parents and siblings.
Cindy developed an interest in sports, which propelled her to join the Cheerleaders Association upon admission to the University of Tennessee.
Cindy was a passionate learner who dedicated her time to learning classical piano and music. Moreover, she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in educational administration.
As her core interest lay in cheerleading, Cindy became the head instructor for the National Cheerleader Association.

However, she put an end to her career after marrying Jon and focused on starting a family with him and embracing motherhood.
Three years into their marriage, Cindy and Jon welcomed their firstborn son Deuce in 1994.
Eventually, the family of three grew to five when Deuce’s two brothers, Michael and Jayson Gruden, joined him.
Even though Cindy left her head instructor career, she later dabbled into philanthropy, working with various charities.
In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, she developed an online course at the University of Tennessee.
Her family has also supported various cancer-related philanthropic works. Together, Cindy and Jon have helped in raising funds to assist various projects for charitable organizations.
Although Cindy and Jon have different career goals, they are each other’s strongest supporters, always cheering one another on.
