Curtis ‘Curt’ Edward Gowdy was born on July 31, 1919, in Green River, Wyoming, United States, to late parents, Edward and Ruth Gowdy.
He passed away at the age of 86 on February 20, 2006, at his winter home in Palm Beach, Florida, following a prolonged battle with leukemia.
His father, Edward ‘Jack’ Gowdy, was a manager and dispatcher for the Union Pacific railroad.

His son, Trevor ‘Trev’ Gowdy, who earned his bachelor’s in business, marketing, and film-TV degree from Boston College, is pursuing his career in the entertainment industry.
Trevor is the owner and president of Curt Gowdy Productions, Iridiu Productions, and Gowdy Productions in Beverly, Massachusetts.
