Serena Williams’s Super Bowl cameo has reignited rumors about her past relationship with Canadian singer and rapper Drake.

This year’s Super Bowl wasn’t just about the intense game between the Eagles and Chiefs—it also became a stage for drama, with celebrities like Taylor Swift, Serena Williams, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake stealing the spotlight.

While Kendrick Lamar performed his Drake diss track “Not Like Us” during the Super Bowl Halftime show, the two stars to join him were Serena Williams and SZA, who both previously dated Drake.

Although SZA was announced as a performer of the Super Bowl and frequently collaborated with him, the person who stole the show was Serena Williams, one of the greatest Tennis players.

Many were surprised to see Serena Williams onstage with Kendrick Lamar, who has an ongoing feud with Drake.

While she danced on Kendrick’s Drake diss track, many believed she was trying to send the ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper a message with her performance.

Furthermore, many know that Drake and Serena Williams definitely had a thing. If anyone still wonders whether they dated—the answer is yes!

Reports Confirmed Serena Williams And Drake’s Relationship In 2015!

Serena Williams and Drake first sparked dating rumors back in 2011 when the rapper was spotted at her tennis matches at the Canadian Open.

Although the tennis star never officially confirmed her relationship with the Canadian rapper, they were spotted kissing at a Cincinnati restaurant in August 2015.

Moreover, Drake attended Serena’s runway show at New York Fashion Week 2015, sitting in the front row alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour.

Drake also referenced Serena Williams on songs like 2013’s “Worst Behavior” and credited her with inspiring his 2015 Meek Mill diss track “Back to Back” in the 2019 video.

On his YouTube channel in  2019, Drake stated, “I was with Serena at the time, and we had been talking a lot about her and Maria Sharapova going back and forth over the years.

He added, “She’s a top competitor. So she was you gotta finish it. Like, I’m talking about done, over. And it’s gotta be something that everyone that he’s with and him have to hear.

Similarly, Drake later revealed his 2016 song “Too Goodwas about Serena Williams.

Reports also claimed that the pair had plans to marry; however, Drake’s representative later denied the claims, stating them as “Completely Untrue.”

Sources later confirmed to Page Six that, though Serena Williams and Drake dated briefly, they were no longer together.

While Serena Williams didn’t find the love she was searching for with Drake, she found her soulmate in Alexis Ohanian.

Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian married in New Orleans on November 16, 2017, and have been happily married ever since.
