Did Nike End Partnership With Ja Morant? Unreleased Sneaker Removed From Nike And Finish Line App

This article was last updated by on

The Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has been all over the news due to the recent incidents.

The video of Ja Morant holding a gun was circulating on social media, which led the Grizzlies to suspend the player from all team activities.

This was the second time he was seen with a firearm within a period of two months.

Previously, he was spotted holding a firearm in an intoxicated state when he visited a Denver area nightclub on March 4, 2023.

Following the event, the NBA suspended him for eight games without pay for conduct detrimental to the league.

Ja Morant Upcoming Sneaker Line Removed From Nike

The South Carolina-born player received another unfortunate blow as the Nike and Finish Line Apps have no longer listed his sneaker line.

However, the SNKRS and Hibbett Sports apps still feature the Ja 1s, which can be ordered through a raffle.

The Hunger Ja 1s, featuring mismatched red and blue colorways, was scheduled to release on May 25, 2023.

Both the Finish Line and Nike apps listed the product until May 16, 2023.

Nike hasn’t released any statement regarding the end of the contract, so we cannot be sure whether the deal is officially over.

It won’t be surprising if they end the partnership, as the shoe giant has a history of removing controversial athletes.

So, the main question is, has the young star player jeopardized his bright career by being regularly involved in controversies? Only time will tell!
