But Victoria Bowles has chosen to sue Jalen Carter, the UGA Athletics, and the estate of Chandler LeCroy. Chandler LeCroy was one of the two people who died in the accident. The former Georgia footballer Devin Willock was the other one.

Carter has been hit with the lawsuit only two weeks before the NFL training camp begins. Chicago Bears were supposed to take Carter in the draft but let him go because of his case. And it looks like they might have made the right decision.

The former standout of the University of Georgia, Carter, has been sued by Victoria Bowles, the former recruiting analyst of Georgia.

Carter was racing with LeCroy’s car celebrating Georgia’s football team winning back-to-back national championships on the evening of January 15.

As per the report, LeCroy’s blood alcohol concentration was .197, more than twice the limit for the state of Georgia. She was traveling 104.2 mph and hit a utility pole, light pole, and multiple trees before coming to a halt after hitting the side of an apartment building.

In her lawsuit, Bowles has stated she requested LeCroy to slow down and claimed Carter “illegally left the scene without speaking with law enforcement.”

What Charges Has Victoria Bowles Pressed On Jalen Carter?

The accident saw the death of two people and multiple injuries suffered by Victoria.

In the lawsuit, it’s been stated that Victoria suffered from three lumbar burst fractures, a broken collarbone, and kidney and liver lacerations. She also suffered from a “closed head injury and neurological damage causing severe eye pain.

Bowles has sought no less than $171, 595.08 for medical expenses and general damages “for lost income and diminution in earning capacity.

Carter is not the only defendant in this case. UGA Athletic Association and the estate of Chandler LeCroy are also the defendants in the case.

In April, Devin Willock’s father sued Carter, the UGA, and LeCroy’s estate. On Thursday, Bowles’s lawyer, Robert Buck, sent an email to Washington Post

In the email, Buck said Tory is grateful to the entire medical team and Ron Courson, UGA sports medicine director. But stated his client has been left disappointed that she has to take the way of litigation to address her situation.

Jalen Carter Football Career

Prior to the accident, Jalen Carter was predicted to be a top-three pick for the 2023 NFL Draft.

And though he didn’t fall too far from the predicted spot, his lawsuit certainly brought negative attention.

Even a year before the draft, many compared the young athlete to Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp. A graduate of Apopka HS, Carter was rated a five-star prospect by 247Sports.com and a four-star prospect by ESPN.
