Jordan Battle has an elder brother named Jalen Battle, who also played football.

He began playing football, following in his brother’s footsteps, and currently plays in the NFL while his brother proudly watches him.

Jordan Battle attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and played in the 2019 Under Armour All-America Game.

While initially committing to Ohio State University for college football, he later changed his commitment to the University of Alabama.

Throughout his collegiate career, Battle played 54 games and earned first-team All-SEC honors twice in 2021 and 2022.

Additionally, he contributed to the University of Alabama’s victory in the 2020 College Football Playoff national championship.

In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Battle in the third round as the 95th overall pick.

At the beginning of the 2023 season, he assumed the role of the second strong safety on the depth chart, following Nick Scott.

Jalen Battle was born on April 3, 1995, in Plantation, Florida, to parents Tressa and Fred Battle.

The 29-year-old played football during high school and college but did not pursue it professionally.

Jalen attended University High School and contributed to the team, achieving a perfect 14-0 record, a class 3A state championship, and a small-school national championship.

In addition to football, he also participated in basketball and track. Initially committing to Kentucky, Jalen, however, eventually signed with Illinois State.

He redshirted in 2013 and played 23 games in 2014 and 2015 combined.

Battle attended the same high school, St. Thomas Aquinas, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as former Bengal Gio Bernard.

In his four seasons at Alabama, Battle experienced only six losses.

Throughout his time with the Crimson Tide, he recorded six interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns.

While at Alabama, Battle wore No. 9; however, Joe Burrow currently dons that number for the Bengals. Battle now wears No. 27.

The clash between Battle and Burrow occurred in an Alabama-LSU meeting on November 9, 2019.

This game happened during Burrow’s final season with the Tigers and Battle’s first season with the Crimson Tide.

During the game, Battle made six tackles, while Burrow recorded 393 passing yards, three touchdowns, and 64 rushing yards, leading LSU to a 46-41 victory.
