Howe got her high school education from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia. She got her first taste of journalism there in High School. It is known to us that Howe was interested in motorsports from a very young age.

One of her teachers introduced her to television broadcasting and got her an internship at CNN Student Bureau. Jamie told later that the invaluable lesson she got working with CNN Student Bureau helped throughout her career.

After graduating from High School, she enrolled herself in swimming. She spent some time as a swimming coach. But unfortunately, she had to step out of it due to a shoulder injury. However, that injury gave her more time to fulfill a long-time dream. She focused more on reporting and broadcasting.

In 2005, she joined Georgia State University while still working as a runner. Three years later, she graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

After High school, when she was a swimming coach, she met one of her student’s fathers, John Evenson.

He was the American Le Mans Series’ Vice-President for broadcasting. Evenson invited her to the Grand Prix of Atlanta sports car race, where she could watch behind the broadcasting scenes and work as a runner for Television.

Patti Wheeler was impressed with Howe’s good work in American Le Mans Series, and she got a job in Wheeler Television, where she was assigned as a runner. In addition, she helped there in broadcasting facilities.

During her three and a half years with Wheeler TV, she worked as a Production Associate. She was also an event runner for the TV crew and later became the stage manager for the LIVE broadcast booth. Howe also took the responsibility of story developer and feature producer.

From June 2004 to November 2005, she worked for SPEED, where She worked as a SPEED’s news production assistant.

She also clipped news segments for highlights and wrote a corresponding copy for highlights. Before 2006, she also worked for CBS Sports and ABC Sports as a Production Associate.

She was also the LIVE pit lane reporter for the Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge and The American Le Mans series. Now Fox Sports reporters left Speed in 2013 after working together for six years.

Jamie was a LIVE pit lane and feature reporter for the American Le Mans series working for ESPN since 2012.

She was a pit reporter for the NHRA Mello Yello championship and NHRA Lucas Oil Sportsman Championship for five years. Howe still works as a reporter for the NHRA Mello Yello drag racing championship with FOX Sports.

Jamie joined Fox Sports in 2013 and is still working with Fox Sports. She’s a Live pit lane reporter for the Continental SportsCar Challenge. She also acted as a reporter for WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Fox sports until 2018.

But at the start of 2019, Fox dropped IMSA’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship off its coverage list. She joined IMSA Radio’s team.

Her first work with IMSA radio was in 2019, 24 hours of Daytona. After that, She made her NASCAR debut in February 2019 in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series as a reporter.
