Parents And Community Members Are Mourning The Heartbreaking Loss of Jasmyn Lorey!
Jasmyn Lorey, born on November 11, 2008, was one of Tommy’s five beloved grandchildren.
Sadly, she passed away the morning of October 24, 2025, at the age of 16.
Her grandfather, Tommy Jahn, described her as a child who needed kind words and support to get through each day.
He asked for prayers for Jasmyn’s grieving family, her mother Jayme Lynn, father Adam, sister Jalynn Lorey, and brother Julian Lorey.
With a broken heart, he lovingly said that Jasmyn will now be the Head Cheerleader for Heaven’s team.
Furthermore, he said that Jasmyn will be laid beside her great-grandfather, Victor Jahn, who passed away in 1973, the same year her grandpa Tommy graduated high school.
He further said:
We lost our baby today! She needed to be with Jesus. Please pray for her and for our family. There’s no instruction manual for what to do when your baby chooses to leave everything behind. She was so loved, and so beautiful, and she just didn’t believe it. God, this is so unfair. She’s my little bestie, my concert buddy, wise beyond her years, and such a bright light in my life. Everything seems dark now, but we will live life for her. I can’t believe I have to go on without her. I’ll always see her like this. She loved animals, and they loved her. Some people are just too good for this cold, cruel world. I hope she haunts me for the rest of my days. I need her.
Following her passing, many of her closest loved ones and community members are sharing heartfelt messages and calls for change.
One of the messages reads,
Tom and family, I know no words can take any of the pain away! I’m so truly sorry for the loss of Jasmyn Lorey, she was a beautiful soul and God will take care of her from here forward until you all see her again. We love you all immensely and will be praying for you and the family during this unimaginable time.
Another member from the community added,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Jasper schools don’t do nearly enough to protect students from bullying. The administration is too worried about their image to do anything meaningful 😥😥😥
Jasmyn Lorey’s life is being honored through heartfelt tributes and community efforts following her passing.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help cover funeral expenses, and it has already raised over $13,000 of its $16,000 goal.
In addition, a group is selling bracelets, t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and hoodies in her memory.
Moreover, Jazzy’s Celebration of Life Day will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
The family has chosen this date as a Triple Celebration, honoring Jasmyn Lorey’s journey to Heaven, celebrating the birthday of her first cousin and classmate, Keira Jahn, and her grandmother, Victoria Jahn.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jasmyn Lorey’s family, friends, and well-wishers.
Rest In Peace, Beautiful Soul!
