Following her outstanding high school career, Jayda Curry enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley (Cal).

There she continued to thrive both athletically and academically. Curry had an early impact on the California women’s basketball team as a freshman in 2021-2022.

Layla picked LMU because of its coaching staff, basketball program reputation, and small class size options.

She also studied at Centennial High School before joining LMU. There they named her as First Team All-League in both 2019 and 2020.

She also spent four years playing AAU basketball for West Coast Premier and one year with West Coast Elite.

Ayva, the youngest one in the bunch is no less than her sisters. She doesn’t play basketball but excels at volleyball.

Ayva is currently attending Centennial High School just like her sisters. She is already an established volleyball player at her school and plays the role of outside hitter.

The young one is set to graduate from high school after 2027 but is already on the radar of several college scouts.

She is a big fan of Lisa Simpson and lists her priorities as god, family and friends.

Jayda’s Transfer To Louisville

Jayda committed to the Louisville Cardinals in 2023, confirming her transfer from Cal.

Curry, a sophomore, went to the transfer portal just two days after Selection Sunday, looking for a new chance.

Despite Cal’s difficult season with a 13-17 overall record, Curry shone as the team’s highest scorer.

She was averaging 15.5 points per game and garnering honours on the Pac-12 Honorable Mention team and the All-Pac-12 First Team.

While adjusting to a new system, Curry remains a key player, showcasing her scoring abilities and contributing to the team’s offensive strategies.
