Jeff Cobb and Solo Sikoa are in the same profession as wrestlers, but they don’t share any familial relationship.

Jeff was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and his family background is distinct from the famous Samoan wrestling dynasty.

He began his professional wrestling career for Action Zone Wrestling in 2009 and became the AZW Heavyweight Title Champion thrice. In 2015, he joined Lucha Underground as the masked wrestler Matanza Cueto.

Later, he competed in Ring of Honor (ROH), Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he became a NEVER Openweight Champion and a three-time IWGP Tag Team Champion.

In May 2025, Cobb signed with WWE, making his debut at WWE Backlash 2025, where he aligned with Solo Sikoa in a dramatic storyline twist.

Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa is a member of the Anoa’i family, a legendary Samoan wrestling dynasty that includes Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), and his father, Rikishi.

Before joining WWE, he wrestled on the independent circuit under Sefa Fatu, winning titles in Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) and Arizona Wrestling Federation (AWF).

He signed with WWE in 2021, debuting in NXT before moving to the main roster in 2022.

Initially, he was the silent enforcer of The Bloodline, but in 2025, he rebranded himself as the self-proclaimed “Tribal Chief.”

Jeff Cobb And Solo Sikoa Have A Separate Familial Lineage

Family ties and bloodlines often play a significant role in storytelling and fan interest in professional wrestling. However, not all wrestlers with similar backgrounds or styles are related.

One common misconception is that Jeff Cobb is related to Solo Sikoa. The truth is that these two talented athletes come from entirely separate familial lineages.

Jeffrey Cobb, the son of Elaine, was born on July 11, 1982, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother was born to Filipino immigrants in Guam and is of Filipino descent.

His parents moved to Hawaii but relocated to Guam when he was 11. While growing up, he loved watching wrestling with his father, and the experience brought them closer together.

While he embraces his roots, Cobb’s wrestling persona has primarily been built on his in-ring ability rather than his family connections.

His athleticism and hard-hitting style have earned him a reputation as one of the best in the business.

I always wanted to be a pro wrestler since I was a little kid. When I was a kid, Hulk Hogan drew me in, with the colors and larger-than-life aura about them. It was cool.

On the other hand, Joseph Yokozuna Fatu is the real name of Solo Sikoa, born on March 18, 1993, in Sacramento, California.

His parents, Solofa Fatu Jr. (Rikishi) and Talisua Fuavai-Fatu, raised him alongside his seven siblings, but Jeff Cobb isn’t one of them.

His identical twin brothers, Joshua Samuel and Jonathan Solofa, perform on SmackDown.

He is a member of the Anoa’i family, which has been involved in professional wrestling since the mid-twentieth century.

Rikishi, the son of Solofa Fatu Sr. and Elevera Anoaʻi Fatu, debuted in the professional wrestling business in 1985 and appeared at Survivor Series during The Undertaker’s retirement ceremony.

Solo’s connection to one of wrestling’s most famous families has given him instant credibility, but he has also proven himself as a dominant force in the ring.

He has been positioned as an enforcer in The Bloodline, carrying on the family’s legacy in WWE.

Nontheless, Jeff Cobb and Solo Sikoa are two incredible talents who showcase the strength in WWE, but they come from different family backgrounds.

Jeff has carved his path outside the Anoa’i dynasty, while Solo continues to uphold his family’s legacy in WWE.
