Sports Broadcaster Jenn Brown’s Husband, Wes Chatham, Grew up as a Troubled Youth Yet Made It Big in Hollywood!

Wes Chatham, born John Wesley Chatham, is an American actor. He has worked in films and TV series, including The Expanse and The Hunger Games.

The actor grew up in northern Georgia to divorced parents. His parents split when he was just two years old, leading him to spend much of his time with his mother.

However, his life with his dad also significantly shaped his future. After spending his early childhood with his mother and sister, he shifted to live with his dad during his teenage years.

At just five, he coincidently landed his first acting role in a Tide commercial. Chatham accompanied his sister to an audition and that’s when the director picked him up.

Chatham moved in with his father at the age of thirteen, and it was when he began developing troubling behaviors.

As a youth, he was kicked out of high school and had to attend a second-chance school for troubled youth.

Eventually, he discovered his passion for theater and even performed among classmates and the local crowd.

Jon Wesley Chatham’s fate of attending the Give Center as a troubled youth discovered his desire to pursue acting.

After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate. He even served on the USS Essex as an aviation firefighter for four years.

Chatham’s transition from military life to acting began shortly before his Navy tour ended. He got an opportunity to feature in Denzel Washington’s film Antwone Fisher.

Following this breakthrough, he moved to Hollywood and quickly secured a regular role on Showtime’s Barbershop.

He has 29 acting credits, including acting in TV Series and films.

Chatham began his career in 2003, and during his marriage, he was already a man of immense fame and followers.

The couple eventually went on dating, and their marriage was forthcoming as the connection deepened over the years.

In September 2011, while Chatham was working on a TV pilot in Chicago, he surprised her by flying her out to see her favorite band, Journey.

During the concert, amidst confetti and fireworks, Chatham proposed to Jenn during the performance of “Faithfully.”

Wes and Jenn eventually exchanged vows on April 7, 2012, in a romantic ceremony held at Barnsley Gardens in Georgia.

Later, in November 2014, while he was filming for the Expanse, Jenn gave birth to their first child, John.

In 2016, they expanded their family with the birth of their second son, Rhett Jameson Chatham.
