Jeremie Agyekum Frimpong is a Dutch professional soccer player who showed great potential from an early age.

At 9, Frimpong joined European giants Manchester City and slowly climbed up to play in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League.

Despite a successful youth career at Manchester City, Frimpong decided to look for new challenges.

So, on September 2, 2019, he moved to Scottish powerhouses Celtic FC. It didn’t take long to showcase his talents in the Scottish League and help his team win the domestic treble in the 2019-20 season.

In 2021, Bayer Leverkusen signed the 2019-20 Celtic’s Young Player of the Year for an undisclosed fee on 4 and a half year deal.

Moreover, he has been named in all two Bundesliga Team of the Season after he joined the German side.

Jeremie and Emmanuel are both of Ghanaian descent and later immigrated to England.

Frimpong started playing well, and to everyone’s surprise, the right-bac used to play as a striker.

He started playing soccer as a striker and later played on the sides as a right-winger before taking the defensive role.

During his time as a striker, a man on the sidelines used to pay him £10 for every goal he scored.

Moreover, Frimpong’s elder brother, Jeffrey, used to tell Jeremie, “If you score three goals, then Mum and I will put money towards buying you a PS3.”

At some point, goals came naturally to Jeremie as scoring had become a habit.
