MLB player Jeremy Guthrie is married to Jenny Guthrie, and the pair are the proud parents of four kids.

Jeremy Shane Guthrie is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played in the MLB for popular teams like Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, and Washington Nationals.

The 2015 World Series champion, Jeremy, announced his retirement from professional baseball on July 31, 2017. On March 2023, Kansas City Royals announced that Jeremy and Royals Hall of Famer Mike Sweeney would join Royal’s radio and TV broadcast team.

Guthrie attended Ashland High School, where he played three sports; football, baseball, and basketball.

He played quarterback and punter for the football team, point/shooting guard for the basketball team, and pitcher for the baseball team.

After high school, he attended Brigham Young University and played baseball for a season before transferring to Stanford University.

The New York Mets picked him in the 15th round of the 1997 MLB First-Year Player Draft, and the Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him in the third round of the 2001 MLB First-Year Player Draft, but he opted to play for college.

Eventually, the Cleveland Indians selected Jeremy with the 22nd overall pick of the 2002 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Jenny was born Jennifer Joyce Williams on July 25, 1979. A devoted Christian, she lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and children. 

The collegiate lovebirds got married on June 20, 2001, just four days after the completion of Jeremy’s 2001 collegiate season. 

They are parents to four children. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Avery Jo, on March 2, 2004, and their second child, a son named Hudson, on November 23, 2006.

Similarly, the Guthrie couple gave birth to their third child, a boy named Dash, on July 20, 2010, and their fourth child, a daughter named Lucy, in February 2021.

Jenny is a great mother and wife. Jeremy, on Mother’s Day, took to Instagram to share an appreciation post for Jenny. He wrote, 

”…Jenny is our family’s Hall of Famer who does all the work and never needs the credit! She is a 5-tool wife and mom! Hits for power with her love and charity, always selfless, an example of a faithful believer in Christ, fun and funny, and obviously beautiful beyond description…”

Jeremy And Jenny Are Proud Parents

The parents of four are very proud of their kids and their achievements.

Three of the four Guthrie kids are into sports. Their eldest child, Avery, played high school volleyball at Klein Cain High School.

And as per her Instagram bio, she is currently linked with the Brigham Young University Cougars.

Similarly, the couple’s second child, Hudson, is into football, and he used to play football at Scappoose High School.

Likewise, their third child, Dash, is into baseball and is often seen playing baseball with his brother and father. Jeremy hopes that someday he will play for the Royals. Dash is also into basketball and has got some basketball drills under his sleeves.

The couple’s fourth child, Lucy, is very young. However, she has an Instagram account under her name, which is run by her eldest sister, Avery.
