Joaquim Valente, a 36-year-old jiu-jitsu instructor and co-founder of the Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Miami, is dating Gisele Bündchen, one of the most recognizable supermodels.
Originally from Brazil, Joaquim Valente has built a reputable career in martial arts, training in jiu-jitsu, boxing, and judo.
Born in Rio de Janeiro on November 7, 1989, he moved to the United States in 2007 to study criminology at Barry University.
He began practicing Jiu-Jitsu at a very young age of 2 with his siblings from a Brazilian martial arts, Helio Gracie.
With the passage of time, he began attending Gracia Academy, where he learned jujutsu from several martial artists.
He completed the jujutsu professor course before graduating, and around that time, he officially started his career as an instructor.
Moreover, he founded the Miami-based self-defense academy, Valente Brothers, with his two siblings.
Joaquim And Gisele’s Relationship Blossomed From Mutual Interest In Martial Arts
Joaquim Valente and Gisele Bündchen first met in December 2021 when Gisele registered her son, Benjamin, in Joaquim’s jiu-jitsu classes in Miami.
Gisele was initially interested in the training for her son. Later, she joined the classes herself.
Later, she admitted that Joaquim convinced her to join the training program with her son, stating:
Initially, I wasn’t even considering it for myself,” But when I brought Ben to the first class and started talking to Joaquim, I realized that it was much more than self-defense.

Over time, they formed a friendship as they trained together. But as time passed, their connection grew stronger and turned romantic.
They started rumors of romance in November 2022 after being seen vacationing in Costa Rica with Ben and Vivian.
They officially started dating in June 2023, shortly after Gisele’s divorce from Tom Brady.
Since then, they have been seen together, sharing their love and spending time with Gisele’s children.
Recently, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together.
This will be Gisele’s third child, with her two older children, Benjamin and Vivian, being from her previous marriage to NFL star Tom Brady.
