Joc Pederson is a professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. He has previously played for popular teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, and Atlanta Braves. 

Pederson was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB Draft as the 352nd overall pick. He made his MLB debut with the team on September 1, 2014, and quickly established himself within the team.

Pederson is a two-time World Series champion and a two-time All-Star. As of June 11, 2023, he has a MLB stat of .238 batting average, 178 home runs, and 458 runs batted in. 

The MLB champ is the son of a former MLB player, Stu Pederson. Stu played 8 games for the LA Dodgers in 1985 and spent 12 years in the Minor League.

Joc Pederson was born on April 21, 1992 to Stu Pederson and Shelley Pederson. He has two brothers named Champ and Tyger and a sister named Jacey. 

Just like Joc, his brothers are also into baseball. His older brother, Tyger, played baseball for the University of the Pacific. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 33rd round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft. 

Tyger Pederson

Tyger played in 18 games for the club’s Rookie-level affiliate. He played at University for three years, batting .274 with 13 doubles, two triples, and one home run.

He later became a volunteer assistant baseball coach at Cal Poly. Before college, he excelled in multiple sports at Palo Alto High School.

Tyger also worked as a manager for Duluth Huskies, Orange County Riptide, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for some time. 

Tyger holds a bachelor’s degree in sports science and a master’s degree in elementary education, along with a teaching credential.

Champ Pederson

Champ Pederson is the eldest child of the Pederson family. He was born on October 2nd, 1987, at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California.

Champ has Down Syndrome and has been involved in activities with the LA Dodgers in the past. He is always hanging out in the locker room before his brother’s game and getting the know Joc’s teammates. He also gets involved in every victory celebration.

Champ has been an unofficial member of the Dodgers during Joc’s time in L.A., and they gifted him his own World Series Championship.

During a recent Cubs game against the Dodgers, Champ was given a championship ring. It was given by the Dodgers organization in recognition of his honorary involvement with the team.

He gets support from both his brothers, and he takes them as inspirational figures for their hard work and perseverance.
