Joe Schoen’s Daughter, Sydney Schoen, Is Receiving Apologies From NFL Fans
Sydney Schoen, Joe Schoen’s daughter, was accused on social media of being behind the prank call made to Shedeur Sanders.
Some social media users said Sydney allegedly leaked Sanders’ number, which led to him being pranked on draft day.
Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, had a major NFL Draft slide, going from first-round prospect status to fifth-round pick.
The apparent prank calllers who phoned Shedeur Sanders on Friday during the NFL Draft shared a video of their call on Twitter.

Friday night, Shedeur received a prank call from someone pretending to be the New York Giants. The call appeared to come from some Ole Miss students.
The Giants did take a quarterback, but it was Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. Schoen has ties to Ole Miss, as his daughter attends school.
ESPN’s Peter Schrager said,
“Daboll knows him inside and out. Joe Schoen’s daughter goes to Ole Miss,” “Schoen has been around Ole Miss football for two years. This one is something that they’ve always had in their back pocket; a guy they have always liked.”

Schoen’s daughter was ultimately blamed for being behind the prank call.
However, it was not Schoen’s daughter; instead, it was Jax Ulbrich, son of the Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.
Jax is also an Ole Miss student. However, he has released an apology for his prank call by stating,
On Friday night I made a tremendous mistake. Sheduer, what I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. I’m so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment. Thank you for accepting my call earlier today, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me,”
Jax Ulrich
With Ulbrich’s son taking the blame, NFL fans are apologizing to Schoen’s daughter. One fan wrote,
Let this be a lesson people not to make assumptions and jump to conclusions without getting the facts. Y’all were really mean yesterday

Another fan wrote,
We all know this Jax guy is the fall guy, coincidence that they just happen to go to the same school?

One reporter said,
“This statement comes after Sydney Schoen, the daughter of #Giants GM Joe Schoen and a student at Ole Miss, was accused on social media of being the leak of the phone number. This clearly absolves her,”
