Renee Paquette, born on September 19, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian-American television personality.
She has had a significant impact during her tenure with WWE, particularly with the ring name Renee Young.
She had an early passion for performance; after high school, she began training in improv comedy. She even moved to LA at 19 to chase her dreams of acting and performance.
However, she later returned to Toronto and shifted her focus to broadcasting due to frustrations with acting auditions.
Luckily, Paquette began her broadcasting career in 2009 at The Score Television Network. There, she co-hosted a show called Right After Wrestling, later renamed Aftermath.
Hosting and broadcasting worked for her, and later, in 2012, she signed a contract with WWE and quickly became a fan favorite.
At that time Renee was just a backstage interviewer and commentator, however, coming up to 2020, she hosted multiple shows.
She hosted WWE Backstage and Talking Smack. Due to her experience, WWE made history the first full-time female commentator on Monday Night Raw.
Her career wasn’t just limited to WWE; she has also ventured into other media projects. She authored a cookbook titled Messy in the Kitchen, which became an Amazon bestseller.
The former backstage interviewer also hosts a podcast called Oral Sessions. Her time in WWE didn’t just bring her fame, but also a husband.
Besides talking about her early life, her father is a concert promoter. It exposed her to the entertainment industry from a young age in Toronto, Ontario.
Her mother, Carole, is already in her early 70s and has also appeared on Renee’s show, Oral Sessions. They have a beautiful relationship, as visible through her posts and videos.
