American professional golfer Jonathan Byrd recently shared a picture of his wife Amanda and three kids celebrating Mother’s Day. Jonathan Byrd and his wife Amanda have been married for over 21 years.

Jonathan Currie Byrd, a.k.a, Jonathan Byrd, is a celebrated name in the golf world. Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, the professional golfer has won five times on the PGA Tour and two times on the Korn Ferry Tour. 

Byrd made his PGA Tour debut in 2002 and made an immediate impact by winning the Buick Challenge.

His impressive performance earned him the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year title. Byrd continued to achieve success in his professional career, securing victories at the B.C. Open in 2004 and the John Deere Classic in 2007.

During college, Byrd became the first player in Clemson University’s history to receive First Team All-ACC honors for four consecutive years.

The star golfer got the opportunity to represent the United States on the Walker Cup team in 1999.

Amanda is a dedicated wife and mother and maintains a low-key lifestyle despite her husband Jonathan’s success and fame.

She values privacy and prefers to keep her personal life away from the media’s attention. Although Amanda has her own Instagram account, she has chosen to keep it private.

The couple has been blessed with three children; Jackson, Caroline, and Kate. Jackson is the oldest sibling, while Kate is the youngest.

He was introduced to golf at a very early stage and even had his own set of clubs. However, at the age of 8, he started taking golf more seriously and began participating in tournaments.

Jackson Byrd, at the age of under 17, had the opportunity to compete in the prestigious Western Junior golf tournament.

During the AJGA’s Matthew NeSmith Junior Championship, he showcased his skills and emerged as the winner, receiving the winner’s trophy from PGA Tour professional Matthew NeSmith.

It was a significant achievement for Jackson and a testament to his talent and dedication to the sport.

Jonathan Byrd Parents

Jonathan Byrd, born on January 27, 1978, in Anderson, South Carolina, had a close relationship with his father, James.

However, his father tragically passed away on July 7, 2009, at the age of 65 after battling brain cancer. 

The loss of his father deeply impacted Jonathan, leading him to withdraw from the John Deere Classic, an event he had previously won in 2007.

Recently, Jonathan expressed his love and appreciation for his mother on Mother’s Day, sharing a picture of himself with his mother and brother on his Instagram.

His brother, Jordan Byrd, is currently serving as an assistant golf coach at Clemson University. Jordan has also found success in his own golf career, reaching the quarterfinals of the U.S. Mid-Amateur tournament.
